Reef Tank Pest Guide: Identify and Eliminate Every Common Pest

3. Flatworms

Montipora-Eating Nudibranchs

5. Vermetid Snails

Identification
- Hard, irregular tube shells with a thick spiral base tapering to a tube at the top [12]

Impact on Corals

6. Bristle Worms

Good Species (Keep Them)
Common bristle worms (polychaetes) hide within your live rock during the day and emerge at night to eat leftover food, detritus, and decaying organic matter [9]. Problem Species (Remove Them)
